About PHFI

PHFI is a public private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of public health. It unites some of the world's most renowned public health specialists, teachers, trainers, researchers and practitioners. It is a public private partnership that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups.

PHFI has been the anchor for organizing many international and national conferences. The conferences have been organized covering the entire spectrum of the various domains of public health. The key conferences organized by PHFI in the past few years include; Global Maternal Health Conference 2010, International Conference on New Directions in Public Health Education in Low And Middle-Income Countries, Second International Conference On Alcohol And HIV: Insights From Interventions, Conference on Chronic Disease Management, Expert Consultation on Control of Measles and Malaria in India.
